Today's training session was initially suppose to take place at Boulder High School. After a quick assessment of the stadium & track (because of the snow and ice), it was decided to jog to the Folsom Hill and conduct Boulder Sports Performance's workout there. The dreaded Folsom Hill is always a BSP favorite as it promises to maintain a person's anaerobic heart rate for the WHOLE session. The group trained short bursts of speed, strength and plyometric drills while working on downhill running form. It is always important to remember to maintain proper form once the leg are fatigued. Although there was not a lot of sustained heart rate training today; this workout is specifically designed to work on efficiency as well as muscle memory to maximize total body conditioning & awareness. Great workout by those BSP member that attended.
AGAIN, as the weather is starting to "hopefully" get better there is NO excuse to not come out and enjoy each others company while working out hard...EVEN if you did drink a little too much the night before at BSP's Happy Hour :-)
