I just got an email announcing the 32nd annual Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half Marathon. The race is August 14, 2010 and the entry fee is pretty cheap (as far as race entry fees go) if you register before July. Being as it is only February 4th, you may be thinking that it is a bit early to commit to a race in August. However, it is a perfect time to set your racing/running goals for the year, find a training partner/group, and start training!
For this race, BSP's Magnolia run is PERFECT! High altitude training for a high-altitude race... Georgetown is ~8,500 feet and Idaho Springs is ~ 7,500 feet... It's DOWNHILL! And it is during the summer! Could there be a better race? (well, yes, the Bolder Boulder... but we are already signed up for that, right?!)
See you on the hills!
