Maintenance & Equal Balance

Boulder Sports Performance & Premier Acupuncture of Boulder advise the following information. READ CAREFULLY...especially those with nagging injuries (you know who you are):
"Would you be genuinely surprised to receive an “Insufficient Funds” letter from the bank if you consistently wrote checks & never made deposits back in? Of course not. We all know that money in/money out has to happen for success. You can’t draw money out of an empty account.

Then why are we so shocked when we “bounce” our health/physical fitness accounts? In Boulder, most of us act as if we can continue to work 40+ hours at work, care for family, train for our "A" Race, maintain the home, study for our degree, etc. No matter how fit we are or how young, we still have to make inner-"deposits" to remain strong.
However, you nurture yourself is fine as long as you actually take the time & do it. There are many channels you can use to help your body remain strong, eliminate stress, heal from injuries, & make “Self-deposits”.
~Physical maintenance and/or nurturing methods include (but are definitely not limited to): Acupuncture, cupping, Tui Na body work, deep tissue, Yoga, Tai Chi, swimming, etc.
~Mental/emotional methods: creative hobby, painting, cooking, pottery, volunteer work, playing with pets, listening or playing music, meditation, reading, etc.
Pounding energy drinks or herbal stimulants does NOT constitute “replenishing” your storehouse. Actually it damages you deeply by pushing you past the point where you would normally stop to recharge. It allows you to ignore your bodies wisdom & messages to slow down.
Many of us are convinced that life is too busy and we “can’t stop”. However we need caution here, because without fail, if we do not heed the more subtle messages to recharge & take time, eventually we will have to stop, but this time due to possibly serious illness or injury.
How can you “invest” in your health today?"
