Flagstaff SURPRISE Training Review

Today's Boulder Sports Performance training session was one for the records. Not only because of the intense training BUT because BSP has such a dynamic group of members; AND today was one of those shining moments. It all started with one BSP member in particular showing up in very interesting retro-spandex Dave Lee Roth pants (circa 1986). This particular BSP member also decided to use a pair of socks as gloves to warm the hands. For a quick second I thought a puppet show was going to take place while stretching.

Anyway, BSP started on the Blue Bell Trail with some quick pick-ups followed by an active recovery of jumping-jacks. A short jog to the trailhead of Flagstaff lead to some back-pedaling to engage the hamstrings and glutes. BSP made its way up the trail while working on speed training, leg strengthening exercises and finally ending in weighted exercises; by "piggy-backs" up. As each member starting showing signs of fatigued BSP members work on some double and single leg plyometrics. That's where the FIRST,..that I'm aware of BSP battle wound happened. Everyone did an awesome job and interested in seeing what's gonna happen at the next training. Come out and be a part of this interesting, hard-working group of individuals.

  1. Great piece on the Blue Bell Trail. I'm sweating just thinking about it. :)
