Scott Carpenter Park (FOLSOM HILL!!) Training Review
Today, Boulder Sport Performance spent the ENTIRE session on the Folsom Hill working on conditioning & performance drills. BSP utilized the HITT (High Intensity Interval Training) Principle, which is also referred to "good ole' fashioned sprints". I decided to not only conduct it on a flat surface; Rather use the steep grade of the Folsom Hill to perform these exercises. This type of training can basically be done anywhere. The purpose of the session was to alternate between periods of high intensity and low intensity. A person does not need to go as hard and as fast as they can during the high intensity; they just need to go hard and fast enough to get the heart and lungs working. This type of workout should be done at least once per week. This will DEFINITELY not be the last time Boulder Sports Performance will be seeing the Folsom Hill :-)
