Report from Tucson by kate readio

No worries here about cold.  It's in the 60s most days and a long-sleeved shirt and shorts are perfect for running in the morning.
Highlight of this week was my interval training around a football field we found in our neighborhood.  I used my GPS to make sure we had a 1/4 mile lap and Aaron and I took turns using my watch to time our laps.  At home I've been frustrated that I can't go 1/4 of a mile in under 2 minutes.  Our track in Tucson was grass and partly a little muddy so I didn't think I'd be able to go fast.  Surprise!  I was under 2 minutes each time--usually 1:55. Aaron's fast and a soccer player, he was coming in at 1:17.
My challenge here (and at home) is food and diet. Resolve to keep things mostly moderate and healthy otherwise Tony's AT class will kill me when I get back.  First photo is of us at friends' house.  They're with Society for Creative Anachronism and dress up in Middle Ages garb.  Like our horns? --kate
